The Madison Police Mounted Patrol Unit attended mounted patrol training in Nashville, TN. It was the first training trip for the new Percherons added to the unit. There were approximately 100 horses that attended. The horses did great with the long trip and new sensory exposure that included crowd control training and formation riding.

"Beau" and Officer Sarah McLaughlin placed 9th out of 67 horses in the obstacle course competition. MPD's three new horses required a little more time to confidently complete the course, so they were not timed or scored. Proudly, each horse did all the required obstacles!
