Sarah Ripple

Sarah Ripple is the owner and founder of Ripple Affect Animal Massage. She grew up in Madison and went to the University of Wisconsin - Madison where she majored in Dairy Science earning a Bachelor's in Natural Science. She currently lives in Madison with her husband, daughter, dog, and cat.

Sarah got involved with horses when her daughter started riding in 2011. Her daughter now owns two horses.

Sarah has always appreciated the work that Madison Mounted Horse Patrol does and since joining the board in 2018, realized its importance to the community. She is thrilled to be able to support the Mounted Patrol through the efforts of the Board.

Tammy Cymbalak

Tammy lives in Madison and has been on the board of Friends of Madison Mounted since the fall of 2023.

Her family became involved with horses when her daughter started riding at 8 years old. There was no looking back after that - they all fell in love with horses and began riding & showing their horses. Over time, they even bred some foals.

When Tammy found out about the Mounted Unit, her love for horses and law enforcement made it a natural fit to become a member of the board.

In addition to her love of horses, Tammy has a large background in planning, catering, and hosting events - both large and small - which fits perfectly with fundraising for the Mounted Unit.

Tammy feels very honored and blessed to be part of this amazing unit and cause.

McKenna Swann

McKenna has always had a love for all animals and found her passion for horses when she began riding in 2013.  She and her horse Lacey enjoyed several years of showing, jumping, and pleasure riding until Lacey’s recent retirement.  She also has a retired, rescued ranch horse Red who is very compassionate and loves to cuddle her. She is very active in providing care for all the horses at her boarding facility.

McKenna joined the board in the fall of 2022. Appreciating the cool and unique way that the Madison Police Department can reach out and be a part of the community through the horses. She values the connections that are made between the mounted officers and the members of the community.

Katie Ripple

Katie Ripple is a full-time student at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls studying Animal Science with an Equine Science emphasis. She rides horses competitively at school and at home with her two horses. She has a love for green thoroughbreds and off-the-tracks, loving the thrill of a new training challenge.

She fell into being a board member in 2021, after years of helping her mother with fundraisers for the Friends of the Madison Mounted Patrol. She has seen the impact that the Madison Mounted Horse Patrol has on the community and what a wonderful group of people and horses it is. She is enthusiastic to be able to help support them through the Friends of the Madison Mounted Patrol.
